~SOCIAL WORKER FETAL & NEONATAL MEDICINE PROGRAM
At the Rush Fetal and Neonatal Medicine Program, we believe that when confronting a fetal anomaly, it's best to face it with an experienced group of compassionate health care specialists. That is why the Rush Fetal and Neonatal Medicine Program at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, was created. This comprehensive program is designed to give expectant parents and their physicians the information they need to provide optimal care. "This is a part time position working 40 hours bi-weekly".
Functions as an expert clinical practitioner within the Fetal and Neonatal Medicine Program. Shares professional expertise as a social worker and serves as a social work case manager for Program Manager to triage socially or clinically complex cases, often involving multiple life issues. Provides and coordinates social services to patients and their families. Assesses patient's psychosocial, financial, cultural, and family situation, providing grief support as appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Current license in Illinois as Social Worker (LSW or LCSW). Masters in Social Work from an accredited university. Three to five years experience with Maternal Child, Neonatal population. Experience with and knowledge of DCSF required. Bi-lingual Spanish speaking very helpful.
