Nurse Manager Patient Placement
The Nurse Manager, Patient Placement is a Registered Nurse who leads the activities surrounding optimal patient throughput. This individual is responsible for the incorporation of clinical processes into workflows that enhance the patient placement experience across the continuum of care while maximizing the efficient and appropriate use of both human and medical center resources. Facilitates a collegial, patient-centered environment that is supportive of continuous quality improvement. The Nurse Manager, Patient Placement exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. The manager will provide leadership for bed management staff to insure optimal patient flow, functions as the bed management coordinator as needed. Designs, maintains and oversees effective processes and information systems to optimize patient flow.
Requirements:
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Masters in Nursing, Business Administration, or Health Systems Management required.
Progressive clinical nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
Experience with clinical documentation or other clinical applications preferred.
Skills:
A high level of analytical ability is required.
Demonstrates the ability to work in complex clinical or administrative systems or programs.
Communication skill is required in order to lead, teach and persuade others.
Able to present to large groups
Able to interact effectively with others in difficult situations.
