~MANAGER OF OPERATIONS
We are currently seeking an experienced professional with the ability to manage multiple tasks in our extremely busy hospital.
Utilizing your years of management , you will be responsible for facilitation of process improvement, coordination of regulatory compliance and direction as project manager for ongoing initiative for Support Services in Hospital Operations. Position requires extensive interaction with hospital staff and institutional ancillary and support services to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively. The Manager has oversight of daily operations of the Administrator On-Call Department. Models the Rush values, acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures, and holds others accountable for meeting standards which may be informed by industry best practices, or may be regulatory in nature.
To be considered for this vital role, you must have a proven record demonstrating the following:
1. Ability to review, analyze, implement and recommend changes and enhancements to programs, processes, and policies to increase efficiency and effectiveness of Hospital Operations; implementing and executing approved recommendations and ensure compliance with all associated policies and standing operational procedures and regulations.
2. Project Manager for special projects inclusive of new services, new technology, and assessment of current tools and resources for productive change.
3. Directly facilitate planning of strategic and operational goals.
4. Monitor hospital budgets as well as reports on budget variances.
5. Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations to the Management team.
6. Facilitate continuous process improvement and identification of workflows to improve services within Hospital Operations.
7. Responsible for managing, instructing, and verifying the work of the Administrators On-Call. This will include performance management and annual reviews, along with hiring, disciplinary actions.
8. Review implementation of effective and on-going programs to monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality and appropriateness of service delivered to patients in the hospital, hospital-sponsored ambulatory care sites or other related operations of the institution.
9. Provide leadership and resources for evidence-based practice, clinical investigation and demonstration programs.
10. Promotes teamwork by working together with supervisors and peers. Provides support to work group. Accepts constructive criticism and suggestions as is demonstrated by appropriate follow through.
Qualifications
Masters Degree in Health Administration, Health Service Administration, Health Systems Management or comparable degree required .
3 years experience in healthcare management positions preferred.
Strong proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications is required.
Experience in an academic healthcare setting preferred.
Must have proven leadership and facilitation skills and ability to independently handle multiple priorities and interests.
Excellent interpersonal, financial, strategic planning, quality management and analytical skills required .
Experience in budget management required.
