I S Senior Analyst Clinical Information Services
The IS Analyst works as a member of a team that will implement and support the Epic Ambulatory application and other clinical applications requested by the hospital. Under minimal supervision, analyses problems in terms of systems and programming requirements, as well as policy/procedure and training requirements. Determines system specifications and record layouts and develops procedures to process information by means of information technologies. Advises users and committees on information systems issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs analysis, design, development and maintenance of the Epic Ambulatory application and other clinical information systems
Configures vendor applications and products
Maintains system documentation and develops system specifications and procedures.
Upgrades professional knowledge.
Collaborates with colleagues.
Takes on-call for system application support at scheduled times.
Applies project planning and project management methodologies.
Audits data entered by clinicians
Troubleshoots and tracks issues and problems.
Performs system testing; develop test plans. Prepares test data.
Facilitates development of policies and procedures.
Provides on-site user support during implementations.
Handles multiple assignments simultaneously.
Defines and documents user requirements.
Applies systems development methodology to solve problems.
Learns and understands user department practices and procedures

Qualifications

Do you have experience with Epic Ambulatory module? required, certification optional
Cooperates and works effectively with others
BS/BA degree in health care, computer science, business or related field
Uses clear oral and written communication
Experience working in a hospital or other health care organization is very desirable.
