RN Assistant Unit Director-Peds Congenital Cardiac ICU

Position Highlights

• The AUD is a key member of the PICU/CCICU leadership team and has responsibility and accountability for nursing practice. Partner with a supportive Unit Director to lead and advance a nursing staff proud of 3 consecutive ANCC Magnet (TM) designations.

• Congenital Cardiac ICU is integrated with a 20 bed PICU/Procedural/Recovery area, the latter providing care to a wide range of Pediatric med/surg patients.

Qualifications:

• Current IL RN license as well as 3 years recent pediatric critical care nursing experience

• Demonstrated progressive leadership ability with achieved outcomes

• Pediatric cardiovascular experience preferred

• Baccalaureate Degree or higher,

• National Nursing Certification required. Critical Care Nursing certification strongly preferred. Candidates with a graduate degree will be able to acquire National Certification within 24 months of assuming position or if in graduate program able to acquire National Certification within 24 months after degree completion.
