RESEARCH TECH 3 Immun\Micro
The Research Tech 3 will process blood samples for immunological testing using such techniques as flow cytometry, cell culture, lymphoproliferative assays, and ELISA. Will be responsible for the organization and reporting of data, as well as maintaining procedural records.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be capable of using complex instrumentation and perform routine maintenance on equipment. Will adhere to safe laboratory practices.
Maintains data books in neat and organized fashion and reviews data in a timely manner.
Interprets data and recognizes erroneous results and why they may have occurred.
Exhibits a clear understanding of assays performed and why particular reagents/steps are used.
Assist other laboratory staff members when the need arises as well as assist in the training of new laboratory personnel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree or related field.
Knowledge of immunological methods desirable.
Must have good sterile and laboratory technique.
Multitask oriented and highly organized.
