RESEARCH ASST 1 Orthopedic Surgery
The Research Assistant 1, under direction from a Principal Investigator , will participate in basic or applied research at a moderately high level and/or to independently improve existing protocols or clinical methods.

Additional Information:

Discusses the project objectives with the investigator and assists in the determination of specific parameters about the problem by researching known methods, abstracting relevant literature and other information sources, and evaluating other available resources necessary for the formulation of the working hypothesis by the investigator.

After final discourse with the investigator on the exact research design and all other conditions under which the experimental data will be collected, independently sets up all necessary measurement and/or testing instrumentation, performing all the technical duties necessary for collecting the data.

Analyzes and evaluates the data with respect to its relevance under the research design and determines whether it is in accord with the objectives of the study

Discusses the findings of the research or experiments with the investigator and assists in the preparation of the final papers as directed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in the application of known theoretical concepts and laboratory methods in orthopedic research.
