RESEARCH COORDINATOR REGISTERED NURSE ALZHEIMER DISEASE
Performs structured clinical evaluation, including UPDRS examinations, and other performance tests in participants' home retirement facilities. Enters data directly on to computerized forms and edits forms, including checking data for completeness and accuracy. Assists with the recruitment and scheduling of subjects, which involves helping the coordinator explain the goals of the study, obtaining informed consents and arranging participant evaluations. Obtains and stores biological specimens, which include collecting blood, urine, and additional specimens as required by research protocol.
Position Type: Full-Time Education/Special Skills Required: Current Registereds Nurse Licensure in the State of Illinois. At least two years experience in caring for geriatric patients preferably to include one year experience with AD patients and their families. A genuine interest in working with older adults. Phlebotomy skills necessary. Local and some out of state travel required.
