ALZHEIMER CTR RESEARCH ASST 2

The Research Assistant under general administrative supervision conducts a variety of established research and clinic functions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Has a thorough knowledge of the research protocols and serves as a resource person to the clinicians and study coordinators
Administers neuropsychological, lifestyle and physical function tests with participants and patients
Conducts and collects data via interviews
Conducts interviews with caregivers
Maintains patient and participant charts including editing for completeness and accuracy, and obtaining outside records
Collects and processes laboratory samples
Helps with maintaining supplies, maintaining an appropriate environment for research and clinical tasks, and performing quality control checks
Is willing to learn to use medical and research equipment such as an electrocardiogram



Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred. Strong interpersonal skill, that are necessary to interact with a diverse group of people including elderly patients, caregivers, and staff. Must have organizational skills. Ability to prioritize, good judgment and decision-making skills. Must have skill in attending to detail and accuracy in scoring test results. Computer proficiency required.
