Data Coordinator Oncology
The Data Coordinator will coordinate many or all aspects of one or more small research studies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists in planning one or more small research studies which includes recruiting for and obtaining consent of the number of participants that meet study goals.
Oversees and/or schedules and follows-up with study participants in person or by phone to ensure that necessary data is collected which may include obtaining information via interview, patient/medical charts, or having participant complete standardized forms/questionnaires and/or administering and recording basic tests such as blood pressure, height, weight, etc.
Ensures proper documentation of research study, administers protocols, and maintains databases. May assist with the analysis and evaluation of data; preparation of new protocols; invoice sponsors and/or complete IRB submission.
Maintains a safe research environment and ensures compliance with governmental and University policies, procedures, and regulations.
Attends regular meetings and may act as liaison to study sponsor.
Responsible for scheduling, handling and properly shipping samples, cultures, tissues and other specimens as required by study and according to current regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. An additional 2-3 years applicable experience is desirable. The ability to work independently and solve problems along with strong multi-tasking and organization skills is preferred.
