APN NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE\RUSH FACULTY\CLINICAL NURSE 4
The Rush NICU 57 bed nursery is part of a level III regional perinatal center. In this full time position, you will split your time between your role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and a College of Nursing Faculty Member. In your clinical specialist role, you will coordinate the neonatal staff development program, participate in QI projects related to patient care delivery and partner with the NICU nursing leadership team to improve the patient and family experience in our nursery. Our unit includes 36 ICU beds and 21 intermediate beds. Utilizing a family centered approach we provide care to neonates with a wide range of diagnoses. Additionally, the Rush NICU is proud of an internationally recognized breastfeeding program that includes a strong clinical team as well as numerous research projects. In your faculty role, you will teach content related to neonatal care to pre-licensure and advanced practice nursing students in the classroom, online and clinical settings. Qualifications include an APN license, preferably as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with demonstrated staff education experience and 5 years level III NICU experience.
