CREDENTIALING COORD
The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for processing transcript requests; preparing degree/enrollment verifications and licensing paperwork for current and former students, and serving as receptionist/secretary for Rush University's Counseling Center. The person in this position must exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Principal Responsibilities:

Processes degree/enrollment verifications and licensing paperwork for Rush University students and alumni. When necessary, coordinates completion of required forms with other Rush University staff.
Performs quarterly informal degree audits for students who intend to graduate. Checks for missing grades (e.g. incompletes, unreported) or other transcript discrepancies. Creates microfilm letter required by the Library of RUMC for students completing a thesis or dissertation.
For re-entering students, copies documents from students' files for the Office of College Admission Services. Prepares Registrar's office-related materials for orientation/registration days and processes completed forms.
In the absence of or under the direction of the Student Services management team, assigns projects to student workers.
Along with other peer staff, performs basic reception duties such as answering telephone inquiries, and addressing in-person visitors. Assists other Student Services offices with phone/office coverage on an as-needed basis.
In the absence of the Registration Coordinator, answers questions for students and faculty regarding registration, add/drop, grading, etc. In the absence of the Coordinator of University Scheduling, schedules classrooms for university-related use.
Assists with the creation of identification badges for faculty, matriculating students, and visiting students.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree and three years experience in a higher education setting (preferred) in an area of student services.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access, Excel).
Must be able to multitask as (s)he will be juggling reception duties for the Counseling Center with administrative functions for other individuals within Student Services.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Highly attentive to detail and accuracy.
