Nurse Practitioner\Physician Assistant Oncology

Position highlights:

• Four 10 hour days with some weekend coverage

• Case load will be working with Hematology/Oncology in-patients

• 32-bed stem cell transplant and hematology unit, offers rooms designed for the immunosuppressed patient which are equipped with positive air pressure and HEPA filtration. Multidisciplinary team rounds are conducted daily.

• An additional 32 bed unit, focuses on the disease process, complications, symptom management, and pain control of the oncology patient. Inpatient hospice care is available.

• Both units work collaboratively to provide the comprehensive services offered by the Rush Cancer Program

Qualifications:

• Current Illinois licensure as Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse.

• Professional certification as a nurse practitioner required.

• CPR, ACLS, PALS certification preferred;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Oncology experience required.
