The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Rush, rated #10 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, is a national leader in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with orthopedic conditions. Common procedures include total joint replacement, general surgery that includes fractures,oncological procedures with limb salvaging, and spinal surgery. Telemetry monitoring available. Pilot unit for many innovations in nursing, including care of patients who have had minimally invasive hip surgery and a nationwide global pain initiative.
Rush has an excellent opportunity for the right RN to provide education and specialty care for our inpatient Orthopedic Unit. You will also monitor and evaluate clinical and operational aspects as well as maximize efficient and cost-effective patient care.
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required (or eligible)
Masters degree in Nursing & licensure as an APN in accordance with Illinois rules and regulations.(or eligible)
Staff Education experience would be ideal, but we're willing to train
An emphasis on Leading Quality Initiatives is high priority
Progessive experience and advanced knowledge in Orthopedics preferred
