SECRETARY III THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION
RUSH UNIVERSITY - COLLEGE ADMISSION SERVICES
General Description: Under the general supervision of the Director of College Admission Services, performs secretarial functions. Ability to work in a busy office with a high level of accuracy and maintaining a high level of customer service is a must. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Opens mail and distributes to the appropriate person or department.
2. Filing documents and files.
3. Copying
4. Running errands
5. Data entry into RUConnected and spreadsheets.
6. Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in an academic department or program is preferred.
Excellent working knowledge and experience with MS Office, word processing, Excel and Lotus notes through coursework and/or job related experience. Some knowledge of a Student Information System (Colleague) preferred.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and telephone skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills & professional demeanor.
Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
Ability to consistently provide excellent customer service in a friendly, outgoing, and professional manner.
